Hi there,

Currently using DSL-AC68u for modem+ router function for TPG FTTB.

Planning to get a mesh wifi setup. I want to know the following:

1. Can mesh router, (for e.g. Netgear Orbi) connect directly to phone line and enter PPPOE credential to connect internet? Or i need a VDSL modem?

2. What Mesh router have VDSL modem functionality?

3. I am thinking if I need to keep the DSL-AC68u as a modem, and use other mesh router to do routing/wifi/dhcp, etc. However DSL-AC68u when set to bridge mode in WAN it will disable all the username/password field. So not sure what is the right way to do so.

thanks,

Derek
