Hi All,  I was using TP-Link VR1600 in bridge mode connected to the USG and it works fine for FTTN   Now, I have just had FTTP connected.   I was supplied an updated modem, that doesn't have bridge mode enabled.   I would rather connect directly to the USG 3P which I believe is possible.   Has anyone had any success in connecting a USG Directly.  I have attached the setting for the USG3P. and yes I am aware that TPG can not offer any techinal advise. ... I have received this error message   Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: [TPG-A02] Authentication denied. User xxxxxxxxxx@txxxxxxxx is banned from using SMTP AUTH due to previous abuse. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.   After researching in the TPG Community I found this fix.   1. Change you TPG account password online: https://www.tpg.com.au/home/myaccount 2. After changing the password Wait for 15-30 minutes before testing the mail   I changed the password and it worked ok for a while.  Now 24 hrs later, I am receiving the error again.    What are the next steps to fix this problem.   ... Hi All, I am totally confused in putting thr TP-LINK VR1600V into bridge mode. I have tried  to follow the instructions of those that have said it worked for them. However my modem interface on the PC went blank.   What I have done. 1. Changed default gateway to 192.168.1.1,  2. Rebooted modem   On the "Advance Tab"   1.) Select on "Network" 2.) Click on "DSL" 3.) Delete PPPOE on VLAN 2 3.) Then click on "+Add" to create a new connection 4.) Make sure to select on "VDSL" 5.) Look for "Bridge" on the "Internet Connection Type" 6.) "Enable" the VLAN ID 7.) VLAN ID should be "2" 8.) Lastly, "Save" the changes   Then I lost the modem interface.   I am using FTTN NBN. Want I am trying achieve is using the TP-LINK VR1600V and a modem connected to a Unifi USG. I know TPG don't advise on other brands and I accept that. I just to be able to put the TP-LINK in bridge mode or modem only mode.     Here is an excert from a the TP-LINK forum.   I've managed to get the Archer VR1600v Modem/Router working as a Modem only connected to an NBN FTTN copper telephone line.   This is what I've done;-   1.        Changed the IPv4 address of the Archer VR1600v to 192.168.0.1 to make it different from my DrayTek Vigor 2926Vac Router with IPv4 address 192.168.1.1, which enables             me to access the Archer VR1600v web service through my DrayTek Vigor 2926Vac Router from my computer.   2.        Turned off DHCP and WiFi. as my DrayTek Vigor 2926Vac Router will provide both.   3.        Deleted all existing Internet connections on the Archer VR1600v and established a Bridge Internet connection.   4.        Plugged my DrayTek Vigor 2926Vac Router into LAN Port 1 on the Archer VR1600v.   5.        Configured my DrayTek Vigor 2926Vac Router to use the Archer VR1600v as a Modem.   I'm able to look at the Archer VR1600v Status and Log through its web service from my computer, with Time provided from my computer. Hi Support Team, I am connected to the NBN 50 FTTN. At present I have only been able to get an upload speed of 14mbps and not to the 20mbps. TPG have said that this area was able have an upload speed much higher than 20mbps.   I am using Ethernet cable from the PC direct to Modem/Router   Steps I have taken. 1. TPG updated the Modem/router firmware. 2. Checked all Drivers and Windows10 on PC are upto date.  3. Checked all cables. 4. Disabled - Upload programes (Dropbox, One Drive, and Microsoft Update checks) 5. ping -n 10 192.168.1.1 which showed there are no delays in your home network. 6. ping -n 10 www.tpg.com.au  7. tracert -d 203.26.27.38  show that there is a big delay getting through the NBN network. 8. tracert  203.26.27.38  show that there is a big delay getting through the NBN network. 9. Measurement Lab speed test at 8:00am it was 9.97mbps and at 8:30am was 8.35Mbps 10. Evening speed between 10pm and 4am was 15Mbps. This information was retrieved from the Upload File Data log from Acronis   Please find attached the results.   Does the HG659 have a bandwidth control hidden from the user but accessible by TPG?   Is there anything that can be done to increase my upload speed.    Many Thanks nelgnej ...
