I sent an email to Customer Service last week querying what's going on with my account billing and have not yet received a response. My email was as follows: I am really curious now. Note that I have been on the $79.99 – 50Mbps - for at least the last 2+years. It started at $69.99 until you increased the pricing structure recently. No problems with that, I have been very happy with TPG.   A month or so ago I received an email offering a bonus trial of 100Mbps so I checked the reply in the email you sent asking if I would like to try the 100Mbps download speed for 12 months – free of any extra charge. You stated that the update would be done by the end of May.   However, Not only I haven’t heard anything from you (TPG) about the trial speed and my speed remains at 50 Mbps. BUT You have just charged me $89.99 for the current month (the next Tier NBN Plan)  without any notification to me or any request or approval from myself, as well as the lack of upgrade speed which you stated would be a bonus trial for me.   My only complaint in all the years I’ve been a TPG customer and have always received excellent service. Would you please let me know what is going on ?   Regards Can someone give me an explanation and sort this out for me. When I've joined TPG about 10+ years ago I supplied my Bank Account for automatic billing for Internet, home phone and Mobile. And it has been that - automatic billing - for all those years, no other contact required for account purposes. * Very Happy with that* But... Today I received a Text message from 'TPG' stating that my Invoice is now available to download or update payment details at https://tpg.com.au/account. I logged into my account via FireFox (NOT via the address in the text) trying to figure out what gives ? The Invoice Number supplied in the text (789085802) is completely 'out of whack' with all previous invoice numbers which have systematically progressed from 11######  through to 12####### - no variation. Reason for posting: Has TPG suddenly changed their invoicing processes or is this a scam ? What also bothers me is that if this is a scam, then how did they get my phone number and know that I used TPG - or was that a lucky guess ? ... View more

I was just doing a quick check on My Account to see where 'I was at' regarding emails etc and noticed what seems very odd to me regarding my Mobile Account. There are 2 entries which does not make a alot of sense:   I added the (????) to point out my question about the meaning of both having 2 Plan Entries (which I never authorised) and what is the actual meaning of this ? Do I no longer have my Mobile account with TPG (i.e. Who/What is Novus) ? And the 'Your TPG mobile usage charges explained' is even more confusing. I thought I had a simple fixed monthly contract that included several Gigbytes of data and unlimited calls and texts within Australia. I'm not complaining, just trying to understand why this appears so different to what I thought I agreed to, although I've been with TPG for so long I may have changed my basic plan years ago and don't remember. My download speed has suddenly changed from 46/47 Mbs average (NBN50) to 21/22 Mbs (currently testing around midday). No changes to hardware, software or modem connections since NBN installed and it has always been totally consistent at 46/47 Mbs day and night from when I upgraded to NBN50.   It seems more than a coincidence that my download speed has suddenly dropped and I cannot send emails (question posted earlier) from my email client (Outlook Express) since 1st January.   I should have put into my question about emails the error message I received. "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message". I also receive a Norton Message 554 5.7.1 [TPG - S02][00438x2N022245] Message rejected as it appears to be spam. Contact your Post Master Team. This is on all emails I try to send right now - since 1st January and identical to the errors back in July last year. Since the 1st of January I've been unable to send emails (Windows XP SP3 - Outlook Express) although receiving emails seems fine as I've been receiving the emails I generally expect to receive.   I had the same problem back in July 2019 when TPG had a problem with your mail server. When you fixed that my email system was back to normal working order. At all other times my Outlook Express just works.   Is there currently a problem with TPG's mail server again ?   ... View more
