Ok, I was finally able to sort out my internet issues...I switched to another provider and straight away internet is working perfectly fine again, no jitter, 0.0% packet loss Interesting though that everyone I contacted from TPG was saying that it was all good and that they couldn´t identify any issues...that makes it even worse, not reliable at all. End of an era after 8+ years with TPG

Hi, I've been having issues for the last few days, particularly with my streaming service. I've done a lot of testing just to realise I'm having packet loss and jitter that I didn't have before, this is only the last few days, packet loss used to be zero. This is most definitely what is affecting my streaming service, buffering all the time. I've reset/reboot the NBN box several times, as well as the modem router, tried different phone cables, different ethernet cables, two different modems (Archer vr1600v and Huawei HG659), different devices (phone, laptop, android boxes) and the issue is always the same, there is always packet loss (up to 20% in the evening) I've tested using my phone as hotspot (mobile data) and the streaming is flawless and the speed test shows zero packet loss. Can you please find out what the issue is? (not the modem, not the cables) I've been with TPG for the last 8+ years but I'm a little bit dissapointed lately, I moved to this house 1.5 years ago and I had this same issue at the beginning, then it was working fine most of the time, but now it got bad again and all the repsonses from TPG is that they can't see anything wrong. Any idea, send a tech maybe? Thanks

Thanks but that is not a website, it's just the server address, you need to connect via an app. And like I mentioned, it works perfectly fine using my phone with mobile data (Optus), and also using the internet at work (Telstra), its only having issues with my home internet where it buffers every two seconds, so it is connecting but somehow very slow. The speed tests are good so not sure why only this is very slow.

Hi, For the last ferw days my streaming service has been unwatchable. I've tested this service in different devices (android box, phone, etc) wired and wireless and it's the same, just buffering. I've tested it in my phone using mobile data and it works perfectly fine, then switch to WiFi and the problem comes back. I've also tested it using WiFi at work and it works fine again so it's only with the internet connection at home. I reset the modem yesterday, call to get it connected again but the problem persists. Can you please check that I haven't been put any restriction to connect to any server please? I'm starting to think that could be the case because I can stream other services like youtube live with no issues, it's just this particular one and only with my home internet. Can you please check my account and clear any type of possible restrictions that I could have? Thanks

Hi @Riezl, Last night was working fine again. Apart from unplugging everything and re-connecting after 10 minutes (I've tried this before with no real change), I also disconnected the ethernet cable that I had plugged to an android box, not sure if having an ethernet cable connected can affect the performance of the modem. For now I will leave the modem only with WiFi and connecting this way to see if that ethernet cable can be causing issues. I'll send you my contact number by PM anyway. Thanks.

Hi, I thought this was resolved but last night I had issues again with the connection/speed. Tests show that the speed fluctuates a lot starting higher but then almost immediately dropping to 30, 15, then up again to 25 and so on. In the mornings I have a very stable speed at 47 that doesn't fluctuate at all (and streaming works flawlessly). The major issue is that it's not streaming properly, too much buffering (unwatchable). I ran the tests as @BasilDV suggested, wired and via WiFi and the results are the same, fluctuating a lot ending with different speeds. Is there something you guys can do on your end to make the connection more stable please? Thanks.

Hi @BasilDV, I tested the connection last night and it was fine with stable speeds of 45 - 47 Mpbs and also this morning so I guess it's all good now. If I have any issues in the future I'll open a new post but hopefully not, I've been with TPG for more than 6 years and haven't had many issues really. Thanks for your help.

Hi @BasilDV Yes, I now have the NBN50 plan, thanks. I did some speed tests last night and it was fluctuating a lot averaging something like 32 Mbps, however I tried streaming and there was a lot of buffering, so I think even though the speed wasn't slow the connection wasn't very stable. I tried again this morning and the speed tests showed a very steady 47Mbps which is great, tried streaming and it was working perfectly so hopefully it has normalised now and it stays that way. I'll test it again this evening. Thanks.

@BasilDV And one more thing, see attached the email I have received today where it shows the right plan (NBN50) which is what I can also see in my account so, what account did you have a look at that you see the NBN12 plan? I can only see the NBN50 in my account and all the emails received from TPG so I don't think I have being signed up for the wrong plan, it would be just a matter of giving me the right bandwidth. Hopefully this can be sorted tomorrow morning (Monday 12/11), otherwise please let me know what the real issue is. Regards.

@BasilDV Furthermore, what do you mean that I'm going to be changed to the NBN50 plan for free? I'm already paying for that plan! See attached invoice generated today charging for the monthly fee of the NBN 50 plan. Please update my bandwidth accordingly there is no need to wait for anything, I'm paying for this plan already, please don't be misleading and action this ASAP. Regards.

Hi @BasilDV I don't understand, why am I being signed up for the NBN 12 plan? was it an error from the person processing my relocation? I wouldn't be surprised because it wasn't the only problem with this relocation (equipment sent to the wrong address, relocation not processed the day requested, etc). I never even mentioned this plan (NBN 12) when I requested the relocation, if you check the recordings I only asked to keep the same plan (NBN 50), now I understand that this could be a mistake from the TPG person who processed my relocation but why do I need to wait 3-5 working days for this to be rectified and be given the right plan requested? isn't just as simple as giving me the extra bandwitdh? Please I would appreciate if this can be solved ASAP, this was not an error on my end, this was a TPG mistake so I would appreciate to be actioned quicker than having to wait 5 more days just to be given the right plan as it was requested from day one. Hi, I just to moved to this house and was connected yesterday, however I'm only getting 11Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload even though I'm paying for the NBN 50 plan. I previously had the same plan in the previous house with HFC technology getting 47Mbps download, so considering that FTTC should be better it doesn't make sense the speed I'm getting (copper line distance is minimal to the curb so it shouldn't degrade the speed) I called last night and TPG tested my network, line, equipment, etc and he said everything was fine so it would be something at TPG's end that needs to be rectified. Could it be that I was incorrectly allocated the NBN 12 plan instead of the NBN 50? Thanks, regards. UPDATE: It has been dropping out as well.

Hi, I called two weeks ago to process relocation of my NBN service to the new house I'm moving into. I called well in advance because I know it takes a while to get the installation appointment, however I have just found out that the representative put as start date on my application the 05/11/18, so efectively my relocation hasn't been processed yet because of that. I only mentioned that date would be ideal to install it, but to process the application ASAP and if I get an installation appointment before that date I can simply reschedule it. Can someone please make sure my relocation is processed ASAP and hopefully with priority given that I called two weeks ago? Thanking you in advance. TPG username:xxxxxx

I just called TPG to request the upgrade. Just my opinion, if there is a new plan with better speed and everthing else stays the same, I think the upgrade should happened automatically or at least send an email to advise about it. Thanks.

Hi, I just realised that the TPG 25 plan no longer exists and for the same price was replaced by the TPG 50. I'm already paying the same price of the TPG 50 but getting the speed of the old TPG 25 plan, how can I be upgraded? Thanks.
