WHY AM I STILL BEING ASKED TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY BEFORE I CAN ACCESS "MY ACCOUNT" DETAILS? This is the message I'm getting.... "We will send a code to your mobile number 04XX XXX 380. Please enter your code to verify your identity." That sytem is flawed because that code expires after 5 minutes. It's apparently OK for me to supply my son's mobile number because I haven't got a mobile phone, but how can I be expected to receive the code from him and then use it to verify my identity before the 5 minute time limit expires? and regardless of what time in the day or night it is, how many times does TPG expect me to try to do that? And TPG is descriminating against the elderly because they're the ones less likely to have a mobile phone. Can anyone recomment a good ISP? ... View more

I received a phone call from my case manager today, and when she mentioned the photo ID that's required I said I might have an old driver's licence. I was having trouble understanding her but I think she said to look for it and that she'd call back later today. I couldn't find the driver's licence so it's probably ended up in the rubish bin. I'm now waiting for her to call back. It's been said that being unable to verify who I am is why I'm unable to access the TPG "My Account" section, but if I'm not who I say I am.... How can I access my emails in TPG's "Post Office"? And how can I be talking to you when you call the phone number that's under my name and address in the South Australian online "White Pages" phone directory? Regarding me not knowing my TPG account number... I've just found a printed sheet of info that I received from TPG a long time ago, and in brackets after my email address in the "account and configuration details", are 7 numbers. Would that be my TPG account number? ... View more

I've found out why TPG wants my pic. The following "info" is from TPG's "Privacy Policy...... ( https://www.tpg.com.au/about-us/legal/privacy ) "Some of the information that we collect may be sensitive information, for example, information about your health, race, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or your biometric information (e.g. for facial recognition and verification)." That's obviously why TPG wants my photo... "facial recognition" ...my pic is going on a facial recognition database! That "Privacy Policy" paragraph continues......... "If we need this type of information we will ask you for permission, except where otherwise allowed or required by law." TPG, by preventing me from accessing my TPG account details etc, is trying to force me to supply my photo. That's obviously not asking "for permission" to have my pic, and are they "allowed or required by law" to have it? I would very much like an aswer to that question. I also found out why I was having trouble understanding all the people at TPG that I was speaking to on the phone. It's because they're all in the Phillipines. I received this from "Vodophone Support" today..... "Thank you for contacting Vodafone but unfortunately the account/mobile number you have provided is not showing as a Vodafone number.
