Hi, Hope someone can point me in the right direction, here.  Current setup is : HFC NBN broadband 50/20 plan Primary router is TP Link AC1600 I purchased a second router TP Link AX5400 Model no. VX420-G2v. I am trying to connect the second router with the following phycal connection: NBN modem--->AC1600(LAN port)--->internal HH ethernet cabling---->AX5400(WAN port) But I can't get internet.  If I connect AX5400 directly to the NBN modem, I get internet.  I have changed the default username and password in the "Internet" section of the router to my TPG login.  Have also hard reset the modem.  Other than "Internet" section, I have not changed any settings in the AX5400.  Anyone can shine some light here?     Thanks in advance. ... I just had the most unpleasant experience with TPG customer service.  I have been a customer for years and always experience good support.  Got a text message from TPG so inviting me to upgrade to fibre (from DSL copper) as its now available at my curb.  So I placed an online order for the upgrade with the $0 modem option on a 6 months plan.  The installation was schedule but I thought it was odd that I haven't heard for several days about the modem delivery.  I sent CS a message and the reply was:   " Please be advised that there is no modem included. You may use the same modem that you have since its still compatible with the service."   Wait, no explanation as to why my contract is suddenly changed.  So I asked does that mean I get the other option which is the $100 rebate to buy a new modem myself.  So the answer came back, that's a for new customer only,  existing loyal customer just have to put up with old outdated modem.    I guess TPG would rather I cancel the order or perhaps let them complete my fibre upgrade and then cancel the contract and go to another ISP who will give me a new modem.  Hasn't this company heard of the saying "it's easier to keep a customer than to sign up a new one"?   Anyone else have this experiece?  Please shere. ... My internet service started playing up the last 3-4 days.  The problems seems to be illogical including:   3G working but 5G not working from the primary router most of the time.  Internet dropout at for a couple of minutes each time.  Internet dropout for longer but comes back when I power off/on the router. Internet available on secondary router 5G not available from main router 5G I have tried rebooting by signing to the router as admin. Not sure if this is the same as turning on and off.    I have powered it off/on many times. Only thing I haven't tried is a hard reset.  I am not sure if this will work.  I am leaving this as a last resort as it means I have reconfig, SSID, passwords, all my devices etc. Any advice or things to try? I was notified of NBN planned maintenance at my premise 27th Mar.  Then today I got another email saying 28th Mar.  That's 2 days in a row.  I followed the link to NBN planned maintenance but it only shows planned maintenance on 27th not 28th.  Is TPG leading me up the garden path? ... View more

I am on plan 25 which is supposed to have upload speed of 25/5.  But my upload speed is consistently below 1.  I just got a new phone and had to do a few uploads and downloads.  One of my uploads was saying 6 hours for a 1.5G file!!  It's never anywhere near 5 ... View more

I have a 25 plan.  Apparently TPG don't like publishing the upload speed.  After some searching I found that it is supposed to be 5mbps.  However, I am consistently getting under 1 (you read right 1!) at different times of the day.  I am thinking of upgrading to the 50 plan but I have read elsewhere on the internet that TPG upload speed are notoriously low (hence why they don't mention it anywhere in the plan detail)  Is this true? ... What is wrong with NBN new connection appointment/scheduling system? I am getting NBN initiated appointment changes every second day. I need to fix a time so my builder/electrician is ready. But everytime I re-schedule it, NBN change it again after a couple of days. Sometimes I get a text message the night before saying they are coming the next day. Is there anyway to stop this and leave it on a fixed date? I spoke to the TPG but they say it's out of their hands because it's an NBN system initiated thing.
