Hi TPG Team, Due to noted service outage (as information supplied by the TPG team) from post "4g wireless is not connecting, network fine. 4g still prevelent with other providers on phone." i have now received my phone bill with additional charges for data as indicated. Can i request the deduction of 10 day internet cost from my next bill as per the time the service was down. Thankyou. Hi Team, The internet is now restored following the technical outage. Currently running 20.9MBps down and 2.3 up. So pleased, thats now resolved. Can you please amend the billing to indicate the week (more like 10 days but a week is fine) end to end that we were without service? Cheers Jordan

Hi Basil. Details previously sent. Per David's input, ethernet cable is understood but that's of nil issue currently as we are out again.. Both 4g and internet lights out. Zero connectivity to outside internet. Home network fine. We almost have line of sight to tower. Will be advised on the outage. Cheers Jordan

Its also homewireless 4g, so effectively just another Sim card inserted into a router.

oh, i agree. Usually, after calling multiple times, lodging a position, and having technical not call me back at the time they said they would, the ISP throttle gets lifted, and we move closer to 8-10 down. Lasts about 5 days. Then I suspect someone switches the limiter on. All the "Basils" usually help. Its highly suspect, given the capacity of the phone to receive signal at all times. Otherwise tho, with just two internet users in the home, a bit of netflix and email we are not significant users, so the pricepoint suits. I am certainly not paying TPG for their on call response time! lol, just to be connected. @BasilDV any commentary on the matter of the ISP throttling the service? It must be a thing

Hi Thread/Basil. It seems your investigation has made a result. Currently running 3.3down, 1.7 up. That's better then no connection. For those following Thread, dm of details to mod seemed to trigger the required movement. Does nothing to not convince me ISP just took the throttle off a bit, but thanks Basil for triggering a response that got the household connected ready for work tomorrow. Thanks!

Hi TPG, I lodged a call Friday for fail to connect to 4g network and was informed some service work in area 8-24hrs, that time has passed and still not connected.. I suspect throttling, given phone connections are at normal speed (different carrier.) This seems to happen a little too frequently. I am concerned per this output on tpg website: Speeds may slow when the network is experiencing periods of high usage that cause congestion. During periods of network congestion, we may de-prioritise your Home Wireless speeds. This could mean that during periods of congestion some data traffic will receive less priority over other traffic on the network, and you may experience slower Home Wireless speeds as a result. I can't even connect to do a speed test. No infrastructure has changed my side, rebooted the router via router and via switch. External issue. Please lodge a technical incident, I get tired of calling support/technical and having them not lodge me a number telling me to wait. Cheers Jordan

Hi Shane, You would certainly have those details on file. Your team had scheduled a 9am call. It's now 945. I have listed details repeatedly. The tech yesterday said they could access the modem remotely. Please do so. Losing patience rapidly. Please add a credit to the account for the week of outage. Call my phone when your team have organized. Please list this with you complaints department, not against yourself but just the general hopelessness of customer service! Cheers

I can take a call at anytime of the day, If i do not answer, then perhaps try again the following hour. I won't be at home however to cycle the router, as I have shifted to the office as the signal makes working in the house non functional. Cheers JD

Hi Basil. With respect, tpg have the worst phone call operators on planet earth. Hence my asking on forum as the optimum (for my time and mental anguish). I am below 1mbps today, with significant dropout. Can you advise anything in the area, reset the connection, or suggest alternatives. Home network is 100% it is absolutely the signal to outside over the 4g. I have relocated and rebooted the modem several times. Please advise.

Hi Basil, After my most recent bill it seems my internet speeds are not close to as advertised. I'm nearly doing 1mbps DL and .4 upload. I have done significant trouble shooting across devices and my suspicion is some sort of ISP internet throttling. Is that possible on a 4g connection? Could you reset your side so I can run speed test to.see if return to as advertised. Cheers JD

Hi Basil, Thanks for replying. I have found much improvement in relocating the Router to clear line of sight with outside. I was stuck on NBN mindset, and was not thinking clear line to best mobile signal. Cheers Jordan

Hi TPG team, Just a quick question, I received an email saying my TPG NBN account is in credit at the switch to Wireless Home Package. The email suggests the NBN account is in credit as of closure but doesn't say if this amount will be moved as a credit to the new home wireless account (same client, same card, new customer ID). The accounts do seem to be linked on the TPG website. Will this happen as par for the course, or do I need to nominate and request a balance transfer? Cheers Jordan

Hi TPG, first 24 hrs and the wireless home broadband is absolutely underperforming. mulitple speed tests registering in the 1.5 - 5mbps DL range relative to 7-10mbps of the concurrent NBN12 plan. Speed testing via TPG. Upload speed is faster 1.5mbps vs sub 1 mbps of the NBN 12. what options can I do to get closer to spec? I did note an Aerial was included and advised not to use unless instructed. Would that help? Currently service is not as advertised. Not impressed so far. Please advise, I will make changes and post results.
