22/11 update   Spoke to the TPG support today, and for some reason, they mentioned that my service has been up for 2 days?   When if you look at the graphs i am getting non stop dropouts almost every 10mins with very high packet loss the previous days. They were also under the impression that it only happened after 11pm? However, that might be true for the initial 2 days, lately it's all throughout the day and the service is essentially unusable.   The person on the phone thought it might be cause I am on WIFI that I am disconnecting.. but i'm using ethernet connection? Have they read my previous case history?   The 7 day view. They initially wanted to send me a new modem and get me to sign a 6 month contract, however, based on my previous experience, this is unliekly to solve my issues. 19/11   The TPG techician came today.   They plugged in the modem at the MDF - ok Plugged in modem at the IDF - there was some issues connecting at first, then when the test started they saw a increasing number of errors which suggests there can be a cable issue between the MDF and IDF.   They also saw that I was using a old modem, so they were going to arrange a new one (although I had previous used one - but before the private electrician bypassed the MDF and the IDF).   If I still have issues after getting the modem (as it may be better at error correction?) then they would provide the techical report about their findings. ... 14/11 update.   After a 2 months or so or relavelity stable internet... today has been really bad. 7/9 update Strangely my connection has been relateively stable for 3 days now. Perhaps it's related to the number of people moving out of the building? There has only been 2 spikes of packetloss, which compared to the previous days, where I was getting dropouts almost every 10mins is a bit of a surprise.   I have forwarded the technican report to the agency, and an electrician is coming on Thursday. They said they will:    We will be directly connecting your supply line from the nbn box directly to your flat using a product called a scotch lock. They are a waterproof bond that is direct so there will be no interference from old MDFs that way.   It will solve the problem of the MDF if the MDF is the problem. 2/9 update   TPG have sent me the technician report saying the issue is with the MDF and I need to follow it up with the building admin/owners.   They have offered a 4G sim and a account adjustment for the affected period. 27/8 11PM update.   Was quite hopeful as the technician was quite thorough, however, in 1 hour there's 4 loss of sync and disconnections + some packetloss, with 3 within 10mins. The jitter also looks quite higher before the 10:24PM disconnection as well.     There is also something strange as my upload sometimes gets capped at 20Mbps, when it should be at 34Mbps. @avt85  how do you capture packet traffic? Through something like wireshark? Do I didn't. I am using a wired connection to the router/modem.   -The line attenuation doesn't really change. It says at 1.7-2.3 dB for upstream and downstream.   When it happens, the errors (upstream and downstream) start increases.   18/8 update. A technician is coming back this Thursday. The techcian came by today, and of course, they come when I'm not having issues.   They reterminated the copper cable and told me to continue to monitor it.
