Hi team for several weeks now, the nbn speed has been 30-33 no matter what time of day. Did I follow suggest text procedure...absolutely. I used to get 80 - 96 constantly on both wireless configurations... I removed every day device but still no difference. I powered down the modem and power up.....seriously the modem took 20 minutes before it could be used again....powered down router ...no difference .... TPG ..I am far from happy and this poor quality product need to be addressed. I live 60 meters from the FTTC pit or 150 metres because of cable length. Several weeks ago the modem failed and it was replaced by nbn....not working well since

Hi Folks, why is it on a good day for the WiFi...90-95mbps download...the best that the network ports can manage is 65-75 mbps this is done with cat 6a or Cat 7 cable with length of 1 metre from router

I recently had TPG NBN installed and immediately lost my old telephone system.... problem is the quality of voip is .....well simply garbage compared to my old Telstra service. And yes it is new cordless digital compatible etc etc (DECT ). How do I improve the voip quality? Do I need to invest in ATA ....this way I can use my other telephones .

Hi Shane, there are three components of my question. 1) pre select is a bit like least cost routing....am guessing not necessary and will be defunct once NBN is enabled . 2 ) softphone , this is ,ore like a software app , so it should still work but have no further use for this . 3) this a virtual phone card , that is it is similar to the old telephone card that was purchased where an access number would be dialled then entering a password and dial the desired number at a far cheaper rate....most likely using voip!

I have signed up for TPG ..NBN but i still need to know can I use the Virtyal phone card to make overseas calls from other phones. Also I am guessing that the pre-select will be disconnected....what about the softphone too?

hi folks, i am looking at having TPG NBN installed ( currently TPG ADSL off net ) can the Xiaomi Mi Router 4A 1167Mbps 5GHz Dual Band Wireless Router WiFi be used instead of the TPG supplied router. If it can, what parameters do i need to enter to get working?..Thanks

Thanks Peter for your reply, in my original question to TPG a while back , I was told the same modem was used for the three levels so I am somewhat confused because I will be installing the 50 plan but would like to have a modem capable of doing the higher speed for when I upgrade in a year or two when there will be more demand. If possible what do I need to do to get the higher speed modem now to satisfy the current and future needs? thanks

I have unsuccessfully rung TPG for help with the use of my fax and wall phones on NBN voip. It appears that every moron keeps saying the same...it cannot be done ...you have to buy cordless phones.... REALLY ... I have 330KV powerlines almost on top of my house...has TPG ever told their employees of electrical interference??? Seriously folks I rang England to talk to a company re voip and they asked " don't your telcos advise you about ATA ". Obviously not! ... ok I want to use my fax for at least another two years and need to use wall phone/ corded phones....please is there an intelligent person in TPG and when I say I will go to the TPG office in North Ryde , I was almost threatened and that no one will talk to me !! Hell it sounds like when I was a Telstra customer..
