Configure old router to extend NBN wifi network

I have a new NBN network at home. I need to extend the wifi. I have a 2nd data point installed in the location where additional wifi is needed. Can I configure an old Huawei Home Gateway Router to act as a wifi extender/repeater? If so, how?
