Upload speed - NBN HFC

I have a 25 plan.  Apparently TPG don't like publishing the upload speed.  After some searching I found that it is supposed to be 5mbps.  However, I am consistently getting under 1 (you read right 1!) at different times of the day.  I am thinking of upgrading to the 50 plan but I have read elsewhere on the internet that TPG upload speed are notoriously low (hence why they don't mention it anywhere in the plan detail)  Is this true?

We can confirm that the NBN25 plan is configured with 5 Mbps Upload speed.

When you tested the speed, are you connected via WiFi or Wired connection? If via WiFi, are you using the 2.4GHz or 5 GHz band network?
