Get online support
I switched to FTTB-Max on 12/11/2024 and purchased a new modem/router TP-Link VX420-G2v.
The Internet connection is fine, but the VOIP phone does not work. When I pick up the phone, there is an engaged signal, and when I ring the number, I get the following message: "Calls to the destination you have dialled are currently congested, please try again later 0ca0142".
After upgrading from FTTN to FTTP I had a very similar poblem. Internet fine. VOIP incoming calls got 'congested' announcement. The 'congested' announcement is a red herring; your outgoing problem shows the VOIP is simply not working. In my case outgoing was OK. Once TPG technical were on it, eventually it was fixed.
Hi @TheLynx . Did you buy the VX420 from a shop or get it from TPG? To use VOIP, you have to use the TPG supplied router. If you are, they have probably not configured the VOIP function.
BTW, email notifications from Community is not working. You have to check back here from time to time.
You can contact TPG via Facebook Messenger..

I am having the same problem, Internet fine, no VoIP. New modem, new phone. Modem control panel says no phone service but number, IP and Mac are listed under wired clients.
Modem is TP-Link AX5400. Where do you enter the details and what are they? I have a dial tone and the internet is working so it's just the settings for activating the line.
Hi All,
I contacted TPG technical support today, they updated the new modem MAC address in the backend and reconfigured VOIP on modem.
i now have VOIP working again, and can receive and make calls.
