How to set up FRITZ!Box 7390 BYO modem for NBN

FRITZ!Box 7390

This article provides modem setup advice for NBN services to get you up and running in just a few simple steps;

 

First:

You need to know the technology type used to supply your NBN service.

 

Your NBN technology type can be found in the Installation email we sent to you prior to your NBN service activation. Simply search for nbnorders@tpg.com.au nbn installation confirmed in your email inbox to find this email.

Please choose your NBN technology type below for Setup help for the FRITZ! Box 7390. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 You've Determined: You have an NBN FTTP / Wireless service

 

Please follow the steps below to set up your FRITZ! Box 7390.

 

     1. Ensure your NBN Connection Box is turned on

 

     2. Plug an Ethernet cable from the designated UNI-D port on your NBN Connection Box into the LAN 1 port on your FRITZ! Box modem. (An email with the provisioned UNI-D port number will be sent to you once service installation date has been confirmed)

     3. Using the supplied power cable, connect the FRITZ! Box's Power port to an electrical outlet and turn it onFRITZ! Box 7390(1).png

 

     4. You can connect devices such as PC desktops, laptops or gaming consoles by plugging Ethernet cables from devices to any of the 3 remaining yellow LAN port; or you can connect devices via WiFiFRITZ! Box 7390(2).png

 

     5. Go to http://192.168.1.1 in your browser

 

     6. Log in with your FRITZ! Box password. By default the password can be either admin or admin123

 

     7. On the home screen, click Internet

 

     8. Click Account Information

 

     9. Select Other Internet service provider from the Internet service provider drop down

 

     10. Enter TPG

 

     11. Tick the box next to External modem or router

 

     12. Tick the box next to Establish own connection to the Internet

 

     13. Tick the box next to Yes for Account Information

 

     14. Enter your TPG Username and Password

 

     15. Enter the Downstream and Upstream speeds of your NBN plan as per reference in the following table:Table.png

 

     16. Click Change connection settings

 

     17. Tick the checkbox next to Maintain permanently (recommended for flat rates)

 

     18. Click Apply

 

Your FRITZ! Box 7390 should now be online. If you are still having issues, please call us on 1300 997 271 for further assistance.

  You've Determined: You have an NBN FTTC service

 

Please follow the steps below to set up your FRITZ! Box 7390.

 

     1. Ensure your NBN Connection Device is turned on

 

     2. Plug an Ethernet cable from the yellow Gateway port on your NBN Connection Device into the LAN 1 port on your FRITZ! Box modemFRITZ! Box 7390.png

 

     3. Using the supplied power cable, connect the FRITZ! Box's Power port to an electrical outlet and turn it on.FRITZ! Box 7390(1).png

 

     4. You can connect devices such as PC desktops, laptops or gaming consoles by plugging Ethernet cables from devices to any of the 3 remaining yellow LAN port; or you can connect devices via WiFiFRITZ! Box 7390(2).png

 

     5. Go to  http://192.168.1.1/   in your browser

 

     6. Log in with your FRITZ! Box password. By default the password can be either admin or admin123

 

     7. On the home screen, click Internet

 

     8. Click Account Information

 

     9. Select Other Internet service provider from the Internet service provider drop down

 

     10. Enter TPG

 

     11. Tick the box next to External modem or router

 

     12. Tick the box next to Establish own connection to the Internet

 

     13. Tick the box next to Yes for Account Information

 

     14. Enter your TPG Username and Password

 

     15. Enter the Downstream and Upstream speeds of your NBN plan as per reference in the following table:Table.png

 

     16. Click Change connection settings

 

     17. Tick the checkbox next to Maintain permanently (recommended for flat rates)

  You've Determined: You have an NBN FTTN / FTTB service

 

Please follow the steps below to set up your FRITZ! Box 7390.

 

 

     1. Plug a phone cable from NBN wall socket into the grey DSL/TEL port on your FRITZ! Box modemFRITZ! Box 7390(3).png

 

     2. Using the supplied power cable, connect the FRITZ! Box's Power port to an electrical outlet and turn it onFRITZ! Box 7390(1).png

 

     3. You can connect devices such as PC desktops, laptops or gaming consoles by plugging Ethernet cables from devices to any of the 4 yellow LAN port; or you can connect devices via WiFiFRITZ! Box 7390(4).png

 

     4. Go to  http://192.168.1.1/ in your browser

 

     5. Log in with your FRITZ! Box password. By default the password can be either admin or admin123

 

     6. On the home screen, click Internet

 

     7. Click Account Information

 

     8. Select Other Internet service provider from the Internet service provider drop down

 

     9. Enter TPG

 

     10. Tick the box next to Connection to a DSL line

 

     11. Tick the box next to Yes for Account Information

 

     12. Enter your TPG Username and Password

 

     13. Click Apply

 

     14. Click View: Standard to switch to Advanced view

 

     15. Click Internet

 

     16. Click Account Information

 

     17. Click Change connection settings

 

     18. Untick the checkbox next to Delay disconnection by provider to the period between

 

     19. Click Apply

 

     20. Click Internet

 

     21. Click DSL Information

 

     22. Click Line Settings

 

     23. Tick the checkbox next to Annex B under Annex Settings

 

     24. Click Apply

 

Your FRITZ! Box 7390 should now be online. If you are still having issues, please call us on 1300 997 271 for further assistance.

Please follow the steps below to set up your FRITZ! Box 7390.

  

     1. Ensure your NBN Connection Box is turned on
