Get online support
12 Days and numerous two hour long conversations with tpg support and stll cannot connect to the internet. This is the second router we have tried and the same problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated. We have had two nbn techs check the connection and no issues. Router manufacturers cannot find any issues at their end.
Checked all patch cables?
Hi @Moss . What type of NBN connection do you have?
If you have an NBN box, what is the state of the indicator lights?
What is the actual model number of the router? (VX something?)
What is your TPG plan? (Bundled NBN/VOIP or Data only?)
Could you attach a photo of how you have it cabled? From the wall socket through to the wifi router?
It is an AX5400 Archer73.
All nbn lights are green except internet which is amber.
our nbn connection is hfc, planned bundled hfc.
the nbn is connected to the wan port of the router.
@Moss .
The AX73 has to be in Wireless Router Mode. Go to Advanced > System > Operation Mode.
If you are only on a standard NBN plan, you will need to set VLAN ID=2 for Internet and 0 for priority.
This iiNet article has the setup for Archer C9 which is similar to (not quite the same as) the AX73.

Thanks David
tried that and no joy. We had the same issue with a netgear router.
Hi @Moss
We'd like to check if the router is trying to communicate with the server.
