Cannot create a tpg account in Outlook 365 (on Desktop)

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can assist me.

I have a new desktop computer and I'm trying to set up my Outlook (365) account. But every setting I put in has a similar type of errror: "Cannot connect to Incoming Pop server".  I have tried the follow things:

  • Used ports 110 and 25
  • Used ports 993 and 995, and 465 with SSL/TLS
  • tried both mail.tpg.com.au and ***.themessagingco.com.au
  • Checked firewall and disabled AntiVirus.
  • Checked and can use the Tpg Mail online (via The Messaging Company)

Nothing works.  What am I doing wrong?

Hi @pdsjhume . In your picture, the incoming port should be 995 with SSL/TLS.

The outgoing side should be ok with port 465 and SSL/TLS.

Server name is correct in both cases.

You need message authentication enabled, but this setting must be on another screen.

Settings are basically same as your previous computer.

Hi @pdsjhume

How are you?

Were you able to setup your TPG email to the Outlook client?

Hi @robyng7

How's your Email?

If it's still not working, then we may need more information for us to analyse.

Are you using an email client or the webmail?

Have you tested it on other devices or just one?
