Tks BasilDV, nah, after re-entering the POP3 & SMTP recommendations from TPG, I cannot send or receive. I'm simply getting the little spinning wheel going round and round and no action.

Good morning. After the TPG email crash the other week my email stopped working - then, after changing a numer of configurations over a couple of days, sending/receiving using 'use submission port 587' setting, setting STARTLS to 'required alternative port', everything has worked fine for a week or so, but this morning nil results. Message received on dropping out is 'error [system] temporary authentication failure.' Very strange, 'cos working fine yesterday and no changes made yesterday. This morning I tried a variety of changes to get my client email working, but to no effect. I am using an email client Eudora 7.1.9 which has been upgraded by Hermes to fit Windows 10 & Windows 11. All working fine until the TPG email crash the other week. My email client has failed this morning, so by reverting back to TPG's recommented ports POP3 465 and SMTP 995 , if available STARTLS and unticking submission point, it still does not work.

Hi BasilDV I did respond to your message TWICE but did it get lost? Re. the advice in support re. email settings, it just gives the same advice as it always did and suggests that the proper incoming and outgoing mail url is mail.tpg.com.au, which no longer works with the present configuration TMC. It certainly did until approx 10.00 a.m. at the TPG email outage which occurred the other day (which was restored during the arvo), but it doesn't work now - the answer is always 'server not found.' My email client which has been working fine with TPG for the last ten years or so is Eudora, which has been upgraded 2022 by Hermes to fit with Windows 11 and all SSL certificates work fine. Everything lovely in the garden until that TPG email outage. It should be a straight forward solution, so why is it so complicated now? The changeover is not smooth as was promised. The changeover is a mess. Over to you, if you have a magic wand or such handy. I want to stay with TPG, and I wish (as promised) to keep my email address. Simple.

Hi, I'm not getting any satisfaction through this community re. previous msgs, or via private msgs, or by sending direct an email to TPG, so what is going on here? First up, I wish to stay with TPG Broadband, no sweat about that. But TPG is making it extremely difficult to stay, or do they really care? OK, so I registered with The Messaging Company a while back and received an email to say that was fine, no need to do anything further on my part, as it all would seamlessly change over. Not! I've been using an amazing first class email client for about 15 years through TPG, and that was sooooooo satisfactory. But now, the email client won't connect with this TPG/TMC setup, no matter what address I try to put into the POP 3 account. (Not that TPG has given any advice on that, have they!!!) Yet, I can do this quite simply with the host company that looks after my very serious blog, easy peasy, no problem. The only catch is, I will have to change my email address. But why should I? I wish to keep it, otherwise changing hundreds of connections is going to be one hell of a nuisance, least of all a time consuming process. Does TPG have a heart? I begin to wonder. It's not easy for those of us who ravishingly elderly, and who are on a limited cash budget each fortnight, but who cares? And like Ted the Northern Cat on video, you know me, I never complain. How about a fix, all the same? Because, if I quit TPG Broadband and go with my electricity supplier, it will mean a $10 to $15 reduction in my monthly payments. Very, very tempting. Fix it.

Good morning. Re. Email transfer to The Messaging Company: On Sep 4 I 'transferred' my email over to The Messaging Company, as required by TPG if I was to keep my current email address. I received a message from TMC to say that I was registered and did not have to do anything further, as everything would be migrated in October. This morning it appears that my email address is in limbo, nothing! I've tried messaging from several different computers, so my set-up is not at fault here. Can someone enlighten me as to how I may get my connection back. The internet connection is operating OK, so no problem there. Has TP

Hmm, Looks like I will have to take my whole bundle elsewhere, unless TPG are going to give a discount for the loss of email facilities.

No, david, I gave up and transferred my stuff to a new paid site, Hostinger. Very good and as my publications were designed by my own app, I simply loaded it up in one go and did not have to use their web building facilities.

Hi Shane, Tks heaps. Yes, this is a long-standing website, maybe 10-15 years or so. I can upload image files no problem, but when I attempt to load the main initiating file which is html, I get the same message each time - which is the same as a screen shot - "The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator. Your support ID is 32c45f8b-7043-4a6a-8d48-edfbd4fbd327" It's a mystery as it has only occurred recently. Without the .html file, the web will not open. Happy days!

This is regarding one's TPG website within the Account. I don't see a heading in which to put this, so here goes. Suddenly I find I cannot load up my main html file to my website. I keep getting much similar to: "The requested URL was rejected. Please consult with your administrator. Your support ID is 32c45f8b-7043-4a6a-8d48-edfbd4fbd327" So, all I get by going into Google is that it is due to cookies, but this seems to be dealing only with normal online activity - can't find any info about the cause attempting to load a file to a website. Anyone out there with some much needed tech info?

Hi, I've received the attached a couple of times in recent days re. stating that my credit card has been rejected re. payment, thus now overdue so to speak. I've gone into my account and found that nothing is overdue and no payment necessary up to this date. The problem is that this email has all the TPG hallmarks and addresses for reply. So, is it a scam or has an employee in accounts made an error? I've sent a copy of the email to TPG but so far no reply.

Hi, for sometime now, regarding of me registering email addresses as legit into the accepted addresses box. TPG still insists on putting numerous of these into Spam so that I never receive them in my inbox. When I do find a message in TPG's spam box that should have been immediately directed to my in-box, I then send (with TPG's compliments) that message to my inbox. OK, so far so gooid. When I check my in-box for the message, what I get from TPG is that the message is then from "Mail Delivery System" <MAILER-DAEMON@tpgi.com.au> stating that the following addresses had fatal errors, and address rejected. User unknown." C'mon TPG why can't you fix this? It simply goes on and on. Every time I re-send a message from TPG's spam box to my in-box, I get this idiotic message. Not good enough.
