Hi @northb Your modem and phone doesn't need to be on for the call diversion to work. To ensure that it's working prior to leaving the house, I suggest that you do a test first. Activate the call diversion by logging in to your online account, wait for 15 minutes before you turn your modem off and make a test call. Regards,

Hi Recently connected to NBN with HFC and using TPG Router (Archer1600v). Experimented with our fax Machine (Brother 1030e) and achieved a successful connection FAX/phone device will work on line 1 connecter on the router.Discussion on this forum indicates line 2 connecter on the router is for a separate dedicated number and will not work with a single allocated phone number. Test fax toTelstra test fax dedicated line 1300 368 999 results in a return phone call (fax shows "pick up phone")but no caller answers(possibly no longer staffed). Fax machine display shows fax successfully sent. Combination of NBN HFC with Archer Router and Brother Fax appears to work ,possibly other hardware combinations might be worth a try regards northb

Hi @northb it should work OK as long as you're using it as the link between the ncd and router, you can't use those devices on the street/pit side of the ncd, as a result you simply can't relocate the ncd from it's installed position, you can however move your wireless router to a more suitable position. A wired Ethernet connection will always be a better option rather than Ethernet over power if possible, the only other thing to keep in mind is that these devices must be on the same power phase on each end, so if you have a 3 phase system as a lot of homes and apartments with ducted A/C have, you may strike trouble.

Hi @northb, Welcome to TPG Community! Just to clarify your query. Do you want to use your "Alias email address" and set it up as your primary email address? If it is, yes, as long as you managed to register or create your "Alias" on "My Account". However, you still need to configure it using your original TPG account username and password.
