Yes the plan was updated to 100Mbps, however the extra $10 is being charged, as if the offer had not been applied.   Does anybody following this sorry sage agree this is something that would put you off remaining a customer? -First you promise something, and then dont deliver within a reasonable timeframe. -Next you promise to action it and don't. -Next you, after prompting from the customer, change to what the customer wants - a speed upgrade. -Then you charge for that speed upgrade as if the special offer didn't apply. Update: I got sick of waiting and waited till my billing cycle day and telephoned TPG Support. After speaking with two different operators, the first who insisted that I was already on the faster speed, finally my plan was updated. The call took about 30 minutes. It took about two hours for the changes to take effect, and there was no need to reset the NBN equipment or my router.   Currently getting around 94.5/18.7 with 12ms latency.   Six months! How many people got sick of waiting or trying to get things done via the community forums here, and just silently churned to a competitor in disgust.   Question: Why does one part of TPG think the speed change had been done and the other confirmed it had not? I can confirm that my plan cost was charged to the higher amount in March and continues to be charged at the higher amount, but the promised speed update from then has still not been processed.   That is more than one billing cycle.   Something has broken at TPG. The moderators here should not be processing speed update requestss based on people reporting the issue here - it should be fixed so all people that have been promised an update receive one in a reasonable time.   If not, please notify those that are waiting why and when. Suggestion for TPG and other carriers: On a more generic note, where there is confusion if a customers phone is able to dial emergency services that only use 3G bands that are being withdrawn, is there an alternate test number other than 000 where customers can dial and a recorded message or reply text message confirms that it is working or not?   Maybe this is something the industry could setup and publicise through the media to allay peoples fears and prevent unncessary calls to 000 to check if it works. ... Is the reson for the delay one of staff resources, NBN Co needing to change a configuration parameter, TPG Telecom corporate finances, or inadequate facilities to add the NBN100 to existing TPG infrastructure?   You must be losing loyal customers in droves, given that a complaint is a favour, and most of your disgruntled customers are just churning to the competition, and not bothering to ask or complain. At least an email saying there have been delays may lessen the workload on your support staff.   My billing cycle clicked over on the 4th , so another four weeks to wait for fourth cycle to complete. Same here. Clicked the email link and signed up in good time, Thought there may be some delays and would get done by end of May at the very latest. Having been a NBN Fiber customer without any issues since installation other than to replace the backup batteries using my own initiative, never had any reason to call support.   Yesterday, switched off my router, and reset the NBN FTTP box in case they needed to pick up any new settings off the network. No speed change when they came back online.   Called customer support 24 hours ago, and they said another 'upgrade specialist' would call me back shortly.   Been a customer for over twenty years. I've used dialup at 75bps, 300, 1200/75, 56K, through to ADSL, and now FTTP. I even beta tested all the prototype Netcomm modems as I previously lived up the road from their R&D division in North Ryde, and set up a few BBS in Sydney. I even have a few functional GPO Post Office 75bps 19" rack mount modems, saved for the rolled gold circuit boards worth their weight in gold content. If I concentrate, I think I can still whistle the modem connect string for the D1ck Smith BBS (including the password). Yeah, I've been around the telecomm traps you might say.   Even previously had a NBN100 special offer for a while with no issues, so I know my equipment is certainly capable.   First time I have been tempted to search for other providers, as TPG have foolishly parted ways with my TPG email address foisted off to a third party provider, so I have no reason left to remain a patient loyal customer.   You would think that existing long term customers would be looked after, not just new customers with special deals. The letter back in February brightened my day and I though maybe just, they had rewarded me for loyalty, but now I have a sour taste about how this has festered.   Any assistance would be appreciated - even a email as a followup for those customers that were notified in February, that the delayed upgrade issue is being addressed and some expected time scales would be better than wondering what has happened.
