TP Link Deco X50 with FTTP not connecting

Just purchased a 3 pack of the Deco X50 and followed all the instructions and the device is still on red light signal.

When trying to add the PPOE settings - when it tries to save it says that it could retrieve them and try again later.

Not sure if I need to add username and password of my tpg account in the set up.

The tpg instructions didn’t say I needed to add these.

Any help please ?

I’m connecting it directly to the NBN box for FTTP.

Thanks David - I’ve done all that and it’s still not connecting.

I entered my standard tpg user name and login and it still gave me an error message and the red light is still showing on the device.

I called the support team today and they said my user name login for the x50 should be username@tpg.com.au instead of just username.

Haven’t tried using that yet - but am trying later tonight to see if this makes a difference

Hey @136testing, were you able to get things up and running? 😊

Finally - after speaking with TPG support they mentioned making sure VLAN was enabled on the Deco & ID set to 2.

This is hidden in the advanced settings of the TP Link Deco App.

Would have been good if this was included in the connection instructions on the TPG site.
