NBN phone line dead on FTTP new install, TPG email says all is well

Fantastic news! Your TPG NBN Broadband with Home Phone service is now active.

Except it isn't.

 

Connect your phone handset to UNI-V Port 1 on your NBN Connection Box

It's dead. And the NBN box has no lights on that port either. Sigh.

 

Rebooting the NBN box has not helped. It's now over a week and counting.
