I currently have a 100/40 plan with home phone with a fixed IP which I had for many years, I have been paying $110 a month and learned recently that a long time ago the same plan was being resold for $79, surprised TPG never reduced my bills. Anyhow, now I see Gigabit down and 40 up for $4 more then I am paying now, again surprised I was not offered this plan.  I would like someone to compare the details of my current plan and the gigabit plan since mine no longer shows any more. I have a fairly new TPG Router, and my NBN HFC Modem was recently replaced cause it was faulty. So I am getting notified the TPG is moving me to a new plan and charging me more without my permission. This is not really acceptable. If I want to pay more for something i do not fully use then that should me my choice, not a pen pushers choice. No where in the emails or text messages is options to have a plan where I do not pay more. Shutting down of 2G/3G is not my choice so I should not be punished by paying more. As it is now we never even come close to using the mobile data on our current plan, so having double the data means nothing for us, but paying more sure does impact us greatly. I want to know of my options to remain on the same price plan or less. Current Plan I pay $20 per mobile device, new plan $25 per mobile, plus the $110 a month on the internet bill, you can see TPG are digging my pockets a lot each month. Today being the worst so far, but seems like im getting a lot of disconnections, im regularly getting kicked out of online games, steam is disconnecting and reconnecting. ADSL was so much more superior with uptime then NBN. But while I have good speed with 100/40 it feels slow cause of the drop outs. No matter when I look at the service status page NBN is always showing something having a problem. When I try to connect to my mobile phone page from the TPG website I am shown a page that shows there was a problem and try agin later, then I am logged out and need to log back in again, only for the same error to boot me off. I saw an email with a plan upgrade I wanted to get but can not join the webpage to look into it or activate it.   I have had this error now for a few weeks since I got the advert from TPG to upgrade from my current plan to a $20 plan with 25gb of data. Started about 2 days ago, my internet appears to regularly disconnect and reconnect, some times it seems like every 10 minutes and other time much longer. I have powered off then on both the NBN HFC modem and the TPG Router and that doesnt help. Apps, Games, Music streaming, Youtube, and online TV all disconnect together then moments later reconnect. Also connections to US seem to buffer a lot, frustrating in game where you need the best connection Can someone at TPG please ask a tech person to check on my connection. Why am I getting text messages about having $0 ballance on a Prepaid Plan. I have 7.7gb of my 8gb left, I have $545 of my $550 calls (what a nice scam these value ratings are for mobile calls rates). Recently NBN did some service work in my area and since then I have packet loss and poor connections to the games i play, huge lag and disconnects. The first NBN work was on the 6th, I had a notification more NBN work on the 16th and surprising the connections even worse now. There is more service work due on the 20th I am afraid to lose my internet after that. I am running a WinMTR trace from my home to TPG and just 1 hop I have 16% packet loss. Please can someone work out why after years I suddenly have horrible internet, I also recieved a new modem when my old one died, so I assume this modem is not faulty. I left it running and its dropped to 12 % loss, but its still destroying the connection to the games. This needs fixing. I had a new modem posted out to me cause my old modem become faulty Old modem is VR 1600v New modem is VX 220-G2v My old modem has my home phone programmed in, the new modem does not. The new modem has a default login as tpg_acs@tpg_acs, so I changed that to the login I use on the TPG Website to access my account, that did not seem to help, the phone is still not working, nor is my number showing up when I click on the phone icon on the modem setup page.   Can someone give me instructions of the steps needed to configure the phone to work. I did ask support before the modem was shipped if it would be configured for plug and play, seems like that step was missed. What I remember was my old modem if it was Factory Reset it would boot using tpg_acs@tpg_acs and then auto update with my correct login details, this new modem doesnt do that, so it is why I put in my account login info myself.   I dont use the home phone much, but im paying for it so may as well have it working.   ... There no other forum group about mobiles to post to, so doing it here. I would like to know if TPG can help protect the community more from SMS Scams and even Phone Call Scams similar to what Telstra claim they are doing. Text Message comming in from a name like AFTERPAY but not displaying a phone number, I believe TPG should intercept ALL text messages and add a phone number to the title, or replace the message caller with the phone number. My wife and I just got a text message from AFTERPAY, we do not use it nor have we signed up, AFTERPAY is also not on our contact list so these should/must display the phone number. Or give us account setting options to block any text message that does not display a phone number. As for phone calls from scamers, if a single number is calling multiple people in a short time frame then think about flagging the call or blocking it, or sending a follow up text message to us informing us that caller from "phone number 123456789"  has made X-Number of calls in the past 30 minutes and might be a scam. Something better needs to be done, Telco's are making a huge profit from these scammer using the service, and too many are getting their lives ruined from it. ... View more
