To whom it may concern, It has now been 4 days now and no replies. However I'm sure there other people that have been waiting much longer than I have!!. You strongly suggest to all your customers to use the selfserve options ie To chat with us, please visit https://www.tpg.com.au/support/contact/. Really when you need a stable internet connection for these fuctions to work and frankly I'm running low on mobile data this month and further more the time frame is appalling. Now you wonder why myself and others are concidering on cancelling our accounts with TPG...The issue i'm having at the moment was noted to you on the 02.04.20 and I have 32 views and 0 replies and I'm now on page 45!!! However I do have some patience left so come on lets be fair and give us what we are paying for or start by compensating. Below is my original post from the date mentioned... Hi @BasilDV Many thanks for the prompt reply. I have now recieved a fault ticket and I will monitor the situation. Speed test today 47 down and 19 up and all is very stable at the moment. I will keep you infomed of any changes. Once again thank you. Regards xr64me

To whom it may concern, I have had just about enough of the NBN, it is absolute rubbish!!! We are paying for a service that we are not getting. Now in the last 2 days I have had very unstable internet and I have used 15gb from my mobile provider and god only knows how many gigs been used from the rest of the family with their data. I'm sick and tired of TPG blaming a third party for the issues!!! TPG need to start excepting some responsability and reimbursing for data use that they are not providing. So in good faith I purchased a new modem TPLink Archer VR1600V around November 2019 as the first modem only had a very short life span, furthermore my original Netgear AC 1600 is far more superior to the rubbish I have been given. As soon as someone else as issues in the street with their internet or rain. The technician arrives and does his bit then not long after that I have issues or maybe the modem has failed again?. So therefore, I am concidering on closing my account with TPG and going else where,or just permanently hotspoting my phone as I'm getting a far better service with no drop outs or lag when watching Netflix or Stan!!!!! Good Evenning All, On Tuesday the 31st of December 2019. I had a technician attend my residence to fix internet service. The internet service now seems to be stable and getting correct speeds. However I mention to the technician on the the day after he said all was good, that I can not recieve incoming call,his reply was sorry not my department and that I would have to ring TPG helpdesk again!!!. So therefore I did call and the operator tried all tests to no avail he then told me that he would arrange for a phone line technician to attend and investigate. And today I recieved a txt saying that all is now stable and working and can we close the case - Ticket #10106746 the issue is not fixed with phone. I have looked in the modem Archer VR 1600V basic settings clicked on phone tab and there is nothing registered see photo and on modem Line 1 solid ? This issue needs to be adressed as I have elderly parents that rely calling me on the land line. Kind Regards xr64me

To whom it may consern, On Thursday 14th we had a NBN Technician onsite to fix our service. When he arrived on site he informed me that he will run a series of test and will let me know the outcome, as it it turned out the issue was diagnosed as a faulty router - Tp- Link VR 1600V, which was issued to me when I migrated to NBN 14 months ago. I am at the moment using a Netgear D6400 that is doing very well so far. What I would like to know would this VR 1600V be under warranty for 3yrs according to the manufacturers website as it has failed after 14 months of use, and I was informed that it was now out of warranty?. Could I please get some clarification regarding this and would this be replaced at no cost?? Kind Regards xr64me

Hi @BasilDV Thank you for the reply. You say that that TPG have tested and all is ok ? Not really!! Never have i had a problem with WIFI up until the last 24hrs and i normally run multiple devices at once and run a pc on ethernet. You stated this The modem is getting a good sync speed with 54.44 Mbps Downstream and 14.03 Mbps Upstream, i did follow your link, how can this be when i stated this from original msg Getting approx 26.5 download and 0.8 from TPG speed test ?? something is not right here. Now tonight download speed 48.3 great Upload speed 1.3 poor see stats from TPG speed test at 9:40pm. Regards xr64me

To whom it may concern, Please can some look into this issue of Slow speeds NBN 50 and Constant Drop outs!!! Getting approx 26.5 download and 0.8 at 11pm tonight this is unexceptable for what I'm paying for. Also the amout of contant dropouts I start seaching a site or a download then I loose conection, this is also unexceptable!!. Here I am sending this via tethering from my mobile phone where i sould not have to. So now therefore I'm now out of action for the rest of the evening or how ever long it takes to resolve this issue!! Why does TPG not have tecnical support 24/ 7??. Is TPG saying that we dont have technical issues after midnight during the week and and after 9pm on weekends seriously...... As i have read this artical - TELSTRA EXCHANGE Site Closure due to Occupational Hazard and Safety. But I and many thousands of TPG customers rely on the internet and email to make a living, but with all due resect TELSTRA & TPG do not pay my bills I do so this downtime cost money and is a huge inconvience not only to me . Hello All, My Internet lost me a lot of down time last night as i was getting exsesive amounts of drop outs was there any real reason as i checked the service status and all appeared to be normal... Today so far no drop outs as of yet.. Service stataus still the same. Also have the NBN 50 and since i have been conected my download speed as been 47 Mbps and upload as been 19 Mbps evey time i do a TPG speed test and now why has my upload speed chaned. To Whom it may concern, Could anyone please clarify is to why i have to have and use the Archer VR1600v that come supplied when i merged over to the NBN some time back. When i was with ADSL 2+, I was using the Netgear AC1600 wifi vdsl / adsl router and it was very rare to have any dropouts come to think of it only when TPG had outages understandable,or in very bad weather also understandable!! and the negear had a regular firmware update and much better range on the wifi were as the archer dosn't. So who is controling the firmware Tpg or Tp - Link? Please dont get me wrong the archer VR 1600V is not bad but i personally found the netgear to be better and more features that the end user could control, but as as it was only used on the ADSL 2+ and not NBN so i can't comment on the performance there,but i feel as tho it would have been the same.... Hello to All, As I am new to the forum community, and if this has been already answered could someone please post the link for me to read many kind thanks... What is the best channel for the wifi on the Archer VR1600V as mine was set up by tech the day i merged to NBN,and has been set on default since, Auto for both channel and channel width.
