Are you trying to connect the 2nd Archer Vr1600 via Wi-FIi? If this is the case, it will not work. Try these., using the TP-Link as the main modem/router change the connection mode to "DHCP mode" and connect the 2nd router to one of the LAN port. Make sure you disable the Wi-Fi of the TP-Link and use the router extension's Wireless Network. You can visit this link for reference. Connect Asus RT-AC88U to Huawei HG659. Hi all, I have read this entire thread it seems like there is no solution to configuring the Archer vr1600 as an access point. I have two Archer's vr1600 and trying to use the second one as an Access Point. So far I have tried every suggestion in this thread to no success and wasted a huge amount of hours. Very frustrating. So my questions are: 1. Has anyone been able to make this work? 2. If so, could you please post a detailed config step by step? Really appreciate the help. Thanks

Thanks for the infromation - it is disappointing to learn - 200Mbps Down but only 25 Mbps Up. Is this the reason the Up speed is hidden away from all the plan advertisements - don't seem to be able to look up for the Up speed in any plan. Anyway...

Hi TPG Support, I'm seeking a fix to this problem. It is found that turn on parental control in VR1600v will bring down the overall Internet speed to 1/4 of the NBN speed plan. For example, for a NBN 200Mbps plan, turning on the parental control will cause the throughput from ~200Mbps down to ~50Mbps. That happens to at least these two VR1600v firmware versions under test: Firmware Version: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 210413 Rel.19548n Hardware Version: Archer VR1600v v2.0 00000000 Firmware Version: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190228 Rel.72265n Hardware Version: Archer VR1600v v2 00000000
