This is a scam. after i sent a PM with my details, i got a call today from someone from TPG who wanted to change my plan at my cost to a NBN 100 plan. to which i said "no". he had no idea about the email offter. Come on TPG,, first you ask customers to pay for their own email, next you offer more speed for "free" for 12 months in compensation for lifting prices, then you call those same customers to charge them for the "free" upgrade?   bad business practices. ... I agree with you. i think it was a dumb move by TPG to outsource email becuase it was the one thing that kept existing customers. now with email being outsourced, people can move ISPs while keeping (and paying for, if they wish) their TPG email account.   really dumb move but theyll learn the hard way. ... I am having the same issue. interestingly enough, if you send email from webmail. it goes through.   if you use a client, it doesnt. I believe it something to do with SMTP and google flagging email coming anyone on TPG as being "spam"/blocking ... View more

hi @david64    Bingo, i have the exact same problem. im using windows live mail too for specific reasons. I dont see how TPG can dictate what level of security i need to have. I pay them for a service, they give me the service. I am aware of the secuirty risks and its upto me to accept them.   thanks for your input. @ErDayImBufferin - As mentioned use an email client and also use POP (instead of IMAP) as POP will "download" the emails to your computer/device so you can still read/access them while offline. if emails get deleted off the server after 45 days, youll still have them locally on your computer. Thats what i have been doign and have emails that are 15+ years old. ... View more
