All seems ok now - but for how long?

I had a problem yesterday with no email (via client or post office). That was resolved by yesterday afternoon. This morning I can access email via my email client but not via post office (I get - This site can't be reached). Service status for email is showing no problem reported. What exactly is going on?

Not able to access my email with my email client or direct from Post Office. Tried Post Office and got SQLSTATE[42000] [1203] User atmail already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections Seems like the same problem as a few weeks ago!

Hi It is now 8AM AEST and the service status for email shows no faults. I am no longer getting any message when I try to log into Post Office - the login screen just keeps refreshing itself. Is there still an outage or a problem my end? Thank you

UPDATE Have just noticed the Service Status has just been updated to Reported Issue - Some Customers unable to access emails.

I haven't been able to access my emails for the past few hours. The connection is authorising and then fails to connect. If I try to access emails via Post Office I get the following message - SQLSTATE[42000] [1203] User atmail already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections The service status for emails is showing no faults. This happened once before and eventually resolved itself but still did not show as a fault in the email service status. Also my phone keeps notifying me that it can't sign in. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Basil I wasn't having a go at TPG Post Office just wondered how an email client could delete mail from the server. I have since looked further into OE Classic and it has a facility to remove mail from the server after being read and although this function was not selected, it might have just done it anyway. I have made enquiries with OE Classic about this. Thanks for your help Regards

Thanks for that Basil. I thought it might be a fault with my wife's email client because all of my emails for the last 45 days are still on the server. It still begs the question as to how email client software can delete server email history. For information I am using Windows 10 Mail and she is using OE Classic (an Outlook Express replacement I installed when she updated from XP to Win7) I will contact OE Classic about this but I am still concerned for the future about the integrity of emails on TPG Post Office server. What are your thoughts? Many thanks

Hello My wife (her account is a slave of mine) checked her emails at 8pm Perth time last night. It took a while to connect and load 116 emails which she said there weren't that many the day before. She then sent a reply to the latest email and then noticed the email client wasn't showing the sent email. I rebooted her computer and loaded her email client which came up normally but the last email that she replied to and her reply weren't there. I checked the TPG Post Office and the inbox was empty except for the message "No threads match the 6 month criteria". Fortunately she had printed the missing email and her reply because it was a communication between her and a solicitor in UK regarding her mother's estate. TPG system showed no faults. All OK now (touch wood) but what happened and why? Cheers

Have just checked the Post Office and the problem seems to be resolved. Why did it happen? Who knows.

I have been trying to access my emails via TPG Post Office and continually get the following message - Database Connection Failed Atmail could not communicate to the database resulting in an error. To continue please check the following: Database username and password are correct Hostname is authorized to connect to the database server The software has been installed correctly and the database schema created Validate your database connection details in the file config/dbconfig.ini The error message returned from the server includes: SQLSTATE[42000] [1203] User atmail already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections Once the database connection details have been resolved, reload your browser to continue with the session. Will this resolve itself or do I need to take some action? Thanks
