I had this issue with a new FTTP connection (had been FTTN). I simply reported it to TPG by phone and in a few minutes it came good.

Just received an email notifying me of a refund due to an 'issue'. More than fair as strictly speaking the issue was not the fault of TPG. Great service TPG!

When I successfully moved to FTTP, I was instructed to connect my home phone to the Uni-V1 port on thee NBN NTD, and all is well. That connection was showing on all the TPG video material last time I looked. However, a poster on Whirlpool claims that TPG have told him 'no longer available'. Doesn't sound right. Could a mod please clarify. Has that poster been scammed? I emphasise that my own connection is fine. Best thing I ever did -- opting to go to FTTP.

Hello @david64 I am wondering if this possible 'messing about' with security certificates has any connection with the apparently random or intermittent problem reported by some when emails outwards fail with the undeliverable message. Looks like support try and deal with those as individual cases, whereas there seems to be a system failure. Thankfully, your help and status here means that the mods are taking your problem seriously. BTW, the link worked for me

Basil, this is exactly the same problem that I and many others have been having. Mine on Outlook and not with every outgoing email, but enough to be extremly inconvenient. It's a new problem not had for years of good service from TPG. Definitely not at the receiving end.

Considering that only a few TPG customers come to this excellent resource, I think it is safe to assume that this is a real and widespread problem affecting many. As the excellent mods here are TPG employees, it would be good to hear that one (or more) of them has passed these fault reporis on to the relevant departrment so that action can be taken.

Hello @Ahra-G Thanks for prompt reply, and the helpful link. I reached out to TMC and they have confirmed that I am not yet migrated. I would very much appreciate it if you would report this problem of bouncing emails to the relevant TPG department. I have triple checked that the email was correctly sent. Over 24 hours is far too long to get a bounce, and a bounce was completely inappropriate anyway! A poster in the TPG forum on Whirlpool reports an identical problem.

Yesterday I sent a critical email ordering from my pharmacy. It did not arrive. I forwarded a copy to them, and one of the emails eventually arrived hours later. I have just received an emailed delivery status notification from Mail Delivery System <MAILER-DAEMON@rpt-glb-asav6.external.tpg.com.au>, saying 'The following message was undeliverable. The reason for the problem 5.1.0 Unknown address error 533 Envelope sender [my email address] rejected'. Both the pharmacy and myself are fully valid addresses. Notification many hours late of course. I hope this is not a sign of what is to come. I also hope mods will look into this, pass it to the relevant competent person at TPG and report. I like many others utterly rely on my email, and I opted to migrate to TMC in good faith that it would be seamless. Readers: please only press 'Like' if you are having similiar issues

For me, the move from FTTN and weather-related dropouts, to solid FTTP was worth every cent. But is is as well to thoroughly check for other problems before making the commitment. Bear in mind that the copper joints on FTTN will only get worse as time elapses and eventually all copper will be taken out of service.

In my case the sent email did leave the out box and arrive in the sent items, but it did not get to the destination for a long time. Got better in evening here as well.

Possible break in copper path? (common). TPG can test from their end.

The most common cause by far for DSL issues is flaky copper joints (in the ancient POTS copper network). These are exacerbated by extreme climatic conditions. I suffered for years until I upgraded to full fibre (FTTP)

I had nearly the same problem. After FTTP conversion (to the 100 plan) my upload speed increased but not my download. I followed up with TPG technical support and they suggested I connect a laptop direct to the ADT (and set up with the TPG credentials, raather than acceseing my router). Immediately the download speed shot up. The wieird thing is that when I reinserted the ethernet link to my router, the speed was now OK (and has stayed so ever since). I'm teechnical but have never worked out why that elimination test worked permanently.
