The 5GHz WIFI stopped working so I did a reset & then discovered I can't make or receive calls. I have dial tone but when I try to make a call, it dials then I hear a long continuous beeping sound. The phone light is off on the modem/router. This happened last time I did a reset. Note to self NO MORE RESETS!!! Internet & WIFI are working. Also who do I ask to get the phone plug/socket replaced & wires checked TPG or Telstra? I still have the old wide plug & would like a new one put in. Apparently TPG FTTB got a speed increase? But I am still on the old speed. Hence why I wanted phone socket replaced & wires/signal checked. I recently had a internet dropout & fixed it by resetting modem/router & doing settings manually. Then discovered I can't make or receive calls. I have dial tone but when I try to make a call, it dials then I hear a long continuous beeping sound. If I call the home phone using my mobile I get a recorded message saying the number is not connected.

I am in Eastlakes on FTTB & for the past week I have been getting LOTS of dropouts. Never happened before now. REBOOTED several times. Not sure if network issue or a hardware problem my end. I live in a very old unit.

I cannot make or receive calls. Have a dialtone & the phone dials then disconnects. I have done all troubleshooting. This is not the first time I've had problems with the home phone. From very noisy lines to not being able to use the home phone at all. Internet is working.

When someone rings me & they are talking the line is crackling loudly. This happens on & off. Sometimes the call disconnects for no reason. The disconnections is a new thing. This is not the first time I've had problems with the phone line. Isolating does nothing. I also think I need a new phone socket. I still have the old wide phone socket. Internet is working fine.

I have gone back to my other modem/router. Internet is working but the landline is still NOT WORKING!!! Still getting the same message as before. fyi: Landline was working before with my billion but stopped when I tried the huawei.

Hi, Just wondering what is happening with the firmware upgrade??? Also in the last few days home phone has stopped working. When trying to call from mobile I get "The number you have called is not valid, please check the number & try again...." I have a feeling these two things are related.
